Student siblings Sanjana and Rohan Bhargava are very involved in St. Augustine History. They are both members of the 450th Youth Ambassadors of St. Augustine. IB junior Sanjana has been an active member of the program for the past three years and inspired her younger brother Rohan, an IB freshman, to join. “Usually they don’t let people join that young but I saw my sister going to all these fun places and I wanted to do that too,” Rohan said. The 36-members of the 450th St. Augustine Youth Ambassadors meet monthly to learn about and experience St. Augustine history so they can share it with others. “The 450th is a major event. This is history in the making,” said Sanjana. She looks forward to sharing historical stories with tourists and dignitaries.
In addition, the two are members of Youth In Government, participate in Young Voices and volunteer at the Castillo de San Marcos summer camps. Supplemental to their community service the siblings are also involved at school. Sanjana is on the Nease High School Trivia Team Hi-Q, Rohan is a member of the Nease High School Panther Pride Band and both are on the Nease Math Team.
