04-09-16 – Pictured is the team of IB Students who competed in the Odyssey of the Mind State Competition on April 9, 2016. Their team placed 5th in the No-Cycle Recycle Div III competition.
In Odyssey of the Mind, students use critical thinking to solve problems while building teamwork, creativity and confidence. Teams of up to seven students select a “long-term” problem and spend up to six months preparing a solution in the form of an eight-minute skit. The problems are designed for competition with scoring components and limitations to be followed. The long-term problems change every year and fall into five general categories: mechanical/vehicle, technical performance, classics, structure and performance.
Two other Nease High School Teams placed as follows:
- Something Fishy Div III – 4th place
- Fins, Furs, Feathers & Friends Div III – 6th place
Congratulations for a job well done!
